Since 2017
Scardona Park" is a unique tourism project in the Republic of Croatia. What used to be a devastated industrial area is now a modern tourism-oriented complex. By taking the local community concept development into consideration, as well as by recognizing the potential of an area situated at the very entrance to Krka National Park, the management endeavoured into a continuous, challenging, and demanding restoration of former war-damaged business premises. Remaining within the boundaries of former industrial premises, numerous services and facilities are now found at the disposal of tourists as well as local community residents. "Scardona Park" has succeeded in preservation of industrial heritage and has managed to turn it into a recognizable tourist attraction, simultaneously respecting ecological standards and achieving a meaningful coexistence with nature.
